Metropolitan Orlando Chapter
Excellence in Promoting the Value of Certification
The Metropolitan Orlando Chapter (MOC) has worked to
promote the value of certification to our members and
community by celebrating and noting ways to sustain
certification. The chapter has collaborated with exceptional
speakers who have taught review courses for over 150 nurses.
We have celebrated the achievements of becoming certified
and maintaining certification through social gatherings and by
providing resources to help nurses study for their certification
exams. MOC uses multiple social media and networking
platforms to promote the value of certification and to increase
public awareness of certified nursing practice in the community.
Our chapter values the commitment to certification and
promotes renewal by offering educational presentations
every month with CERPs.

Metropolitan Orlando Chapter
Excellence in Chapter Leadership Development
The Metropolitan Orlando Chapter (MOC) knows it takes robust
effort to ensure the board stays strong. Our priority remains
Recruitment, Transition, Development, Promotion and Recognition.
Key efforts to achieve these priorities are a dedicated question in
our annual needs assessment to identify persons of interest,
subsequent mentoring from our president-elect, two transition
meetings dedicated to board handoff between fiscal years,
annual LDW participation by our newly elected board members,
social media spotlights on board members and their positions,
pursuit of Circle of Excellence awards, a plaque acknowledging
the service of our immediate past-president in our first fiscal
meeting of the year, and annual recognition of one member
who has role modeled longstanding leadership and service in
our chapter with a lifetime chapter membership.
