In partnership with Nemours Children's Health, the UCF College of Nursing is offering this virtual 2-hour continuing education program, a state requirement for license renewal.

Course Description (2 Contact Hours): Florida Laws and Regulations for Nurses

The objectives include:

1. Getting started with your career and how to navigate the process with licensing and certification.

2. Knowing where to find the Florida Nurse Practice Act for safe practice.

3. Navigating legal questions and how to mitigate further legal and disciplinary issues.

4. Nurse Impairment - Understanding there is help and where to find it.

5. Common errors that can cause licensee’s issues in the future in maintaining an active license.
